Sampler of Seasons is the culmination of two years of sketching and daydreaming at work. It became quite a normal sight to see me dash off to the office to make notes and jot down an idea that was floating around in my head. The verse came about in much the same way, often jumping out of bed in the middle of the night to write out what was running through my mind so I wouldn't lose it come morning. It has been a long time coming, at times difficult and painful, as it was one of the pieces I was working on when I found out about my dad's illness, and after his passing I just couldn't face working on it. I finished it as a tribute to him, to his strength, to his endurance and to his unwavering love and support. I love and miss you every day, Dad.
