This asymmetrical garter stitch scarf with lace edging is chunky, modern and fun to knit. It’s worked in one piece and its lace edging emerges as you knit it. There is no need to knit a separate edging. The scarf in the photos was made from one entire skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Chunky yarn in the colorway Optic. You can certainly experiment with thinner weight yarns but you might not get such a well-defined lace edge.
