This is AKGIT 1833: one of the most beautiful Vierlande samplers I have ever seen, stitched by a girl with the initials AKGIT in the year 1833. The original sampler has a stitched surface of about 43 by 43 cm, which was worked over 2 threads on a 50-count linen. I can honestly say that it is the most beautiful sampler in my collection.
With a pattern booklet spread over 24 pages, this will be a fantastic project to work on over a prolonged period of time. If you prefer to work on something just a little smaller but in the same style, then I’ve got you covered: make sure to check out my other designs “When this you see, Remember me”, and the three Vierlande style samplers in “Mini“, “Small” and “Medium” formats. This pattern features mainly full cross stitch and has a few small areas of backstitching.
