About the Design:
The shaped cables in this scarf bring a quirky liveliness to a traditional cable stitch pattern. The cables undulate evenly to and fro, as if to create large S's.
I've knit up 6 samples in a variety of Cascade Yarns wool and wool blend yarns, but, feel free to use a cotton or cotton blend yarn for a spring or summer scarf.
The length is totally up to you. Each pattern repeat is approximately 8" long, so 3-4 repeats use just 1 hank of yarn, and gives a short scarf to wear plain under a jacket, or use a Jul pedestal button, shawl pin or stick to secure it, for extra panache.
Two hanks give an even more versatile scarf length and three hanks will wow passersby!
