Gardanne by Paul Cézanne is a painting of a small hillside town in Provence, France, created around 1885-1886. It shows houses tightly packed together, with a tall church tower standing out against the sky. Cézanne uses a slightly elevated viewpoint, giving the viewer a sense of surveying the town from above, a hallmark of his landscapes.
