Mary Ann Kittle, a Norfolk Drum

This is a cross stitch pin cushion drum pattern, which includes two separate patterns - the bird for the top of the drum, and the row of octagons with animal motifs for the side. Both are based on an original antique sampler from Norfolk, dated 1813, by Mary Ann Kittle. The pattern is done in full cross stitch only and can be stitched on linen or aida. The purchase price is for the pdf pattern only, in colour, together with an explanation of how to make a drum using the pattern, and the recommended DMC threads. The design for the strip of octagons measures 257 wide and 90 stitches high. The design for the bird on top measures 64 stitches wide and 51 stitches high. Stitched on 32 count, the same count as the original sampler, it will make a drum of around 6 ½ inches high with a diameter of around 5 inches.
