The Last Supper by Jacopo Bassano, painted around 1542, is a remarkable interpretation of one of the most iconic scenes in Christian art. Unlike traditional depictions, where the disciples are seated in an orderly row at the table, Bassano presents the scene with a more chaotic, realistic feel. The disciples are clustered around the table in various naturalistic postures, emphasizing the humanity and emotional turmoil of the moment.
