Two for Joy - a summer cross stitch pattern

A summer pattern designed by me and stitched in full cross stitches, which is suitable for linen or aida. It celebrates the verse, "Two for joy" about counting magpies, with original designs mixed with motifs from antique samplers. The purchase price is for the pdf pattern only. I have also included some background about the pattern and the background to the verse, which originally dates from 1778, which is found in Samuel Johnson and George Steevens’ supplement to their edition of The Plays of William Shakespeare, in their additional notes on Macbeth. I have also included the recommended threads for the pattern to be stitched in either overdyed threads or for DMC. The design is 217 stitches wide by 127 stitches high. The model is stitched on 36 count Zweigart Vintage Country Mocha. I used overdyed threads but have provided a DMC alternative.
