Zojoji Temple in Snow by Kawase Hasui is one of his most iconic woodblock prints, celebrated for its serene portrayal of Tokyo’s historic Zojoji Temple enveloped in snowfall. Part of the shin-hanga movement, which revitalized traditional Japanese woodblock printing with modern techniques and subject matter, Hasui created this piece in 1929, capturing both the majesty and tranquility of Japan’s winter landscapes.
